With the move to a new place just around the corner (in RL), I've not had a lot of time for things I'd much rather be doing than packing and getting things set up for the new home. Times like this that I'd love to have a clone or two.
I'm looking forward to getting settled in, though and getting a few plans going. I'm going to be diving into something new for me. Pretty excited about that, although I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself, because I have so many projects that are sitting on the back burner and need my attention, as well.
All that aside, I was sent a notecard, asking where I'd gotten something that was shown in a previous post. To avoid any confusion, this isn't a fashion blog, but more of one that began with sole intentions of showing updates to my Marketplace store. It's turned into a bit of a personal one, as well and will likely continue being such. However, I don't mind being asked where I got such and such, so feel free to send a note to me, if you want. I'm pretty ADD and I'm super busy, so the idea of going into the whole fashion blogging just doesn't appeal to me, at the moment. Who knows? It may do just that in the future.
That's all I have to say now. G'day.

In dreams, we wallow
I have a confession to make. I don't shop on the marketplace very often. I'm usually only there to look up a specific item or to update my own store. It's sad, I know. But honestly, I just prefer to shop inworld. I like happening on the oddest shit in the middle of Unexpected.
Coming from a site where catalog shopping was the only thing available, I suppose I find it nice to have other options.
Anywho. I was up until after five a.m. at the 24 thing so that I could get a hair I wanted. Only the shop with it wasn't open, yet. I went to bed all bummed about it and dreamed that I was back at the event, mowing over a ton of avatars to get to the hair, which I managed to snag just before the limited edition sold out. I headed back to the place when I woke up and *happy dance* it was there, so I grabbed it before it was all gone.
That's not the purpose of this post, however. The purpose got sidetracked by my rambling. It happens.
300 is one of my all time favorite movies. I can watch it and restart it and watch it again. I've done that a lot. So when a friend showed up wearing an awesome Greek helmet, I did swoon a little, I admit. She was a darling and got it for me, which had me heading to the (usually neglected by me) marketplace to search out other bits and pieces. Sadly, I didn't find too much of what I was wanting by way of a complete, already put together, badass Spartan costume, but I did do some finagling with some stuff I already owned and picked up another helmet. I was going to get a spear/sword/shield set, but weapon stuff is usually script heavy and as I was wanting the stuff only for visual appeal, I went without.
So rather than molest our new sim with my naked avi, I did it dressed like this:
I believe our land was happier for it.
I had to change the color of the boots manually, because the tone didn't quite fit with the rest of the oufit, but that was easy enough. It was odd wearing sculpty clothes after wearing mesh for the greater part. But it gave this particular costume the affect that I wanted and while I might still get killed on the battlefield, at least I'll be hot fail jumping at every corner :D

Brand new canvas
Annnnnnnd. . .we bought a new sim. A new toy to dress up and play with. But for now? Now, I think I'm just going to run around naked like a mad man and jump over mountains that we may or may not flatten out. So many possibilities and our minds are whirring with the ideas of what to do with all this space. @_@

Some random noodles for supper
We finished decorating our land for Autumn and I do so love all the colors and the country charm to the place. I love the house, don't get me wrong, but we're more about the outdoors, so there's lots of room to run around and spots to sit and enjoy the view. I post most pics on Facebook, but I'll put a few here that I've kind of spruced up a bit for personal use, in world.
The house: We both fell in love with this home the moment that we laid eyes on it. The house sat quite perfectly in our vision of what we wanted for fall and while we also have our winter home picked out, it's possible that we'll transition this home, in the place of. Though, you never know. We can't ever seem to stick with one place for more than a few months, at most, no matter how much we love it.
This one, I didn't dress up. I was too lazy to make a nice horizontal layout for the blog. I'll do that at some point, just not this point. Our screened in back porch. Really nice for keeping out those pesky mosquitoes and what have you. I put a rug under the rocking chairs after I took this pic, but Jamie had gone into the kitchen to whip up an apple pie or something, so I didn't get to retake the shot. I don't think it matters, anyway. Or perhaps it does. Perhaps it bugs me more than it should. It's such a lovely rug.
And a nice view of the wheat crop.

This kind of house screamed for something extra. So we got dogs. Mine is the Great Dane, which I've named Dude and Jamie's is the Bloodhound, named Rosco. Though these things were more expensive than I ever care to admit to spending on virtual dogs, they're well worth it. They have pathfinding abilities and tons of tricks that you can get them to do, along with teaching them new tricks that you define for yourself. Plus, they're just damned cute. Esp. when they're fetching balls and other toys that you can get them to bring to you. I did learn, however, that you can get the smaller pets to jump on you and attach themselves to you so that you can pack them around. I'm trying hard to resist the urge to go blow more money for a bunch of cats. We have enough cats in real life. -.-
Here's where the random comes in. Mini coupe sparring. This shit is legit.
And last, but not least, my new avatar. I know. It's amazing.
The End.
Way back in a holler, somewhere. . .
The thing with Second Life is that it's potentially soooooooooooooo distracting. Actually, forget potentially, it is distracting. For me, someone with ADHD, it's even worse. So much to do, so little time. Is it any wonder that my shop suffers?
In any event, I did finally get around to making something and I only managed to do it because I wanted to wear some things from my IMVU shop on Second Life.
(IMVU shop link here: http://www.imvu.com/shop/web_search.php?manufacturers_id=4029542) Never you mind if you've never heard of IMVU; most SLers that I know haven't and couldn't care less about the place if they have. I'm mentioning it only for the fact that if anyone does happen to be familiar with my shop over there, I don't want to wake up to a bunch of messages on either site, telling me about someone copying my products on the other site. I'm Poe on IMVU and Poe Cross on SL and I will be doing products from either shop on the other. Just so you know.
Anywho.
New this week is Foster shorts w/garter socks. Shorts are rigged mesh, five sizes available. Garter socks are texture, non-mesh, and comes in two colors: black and white. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/7madRavens-Foster-Shorts-wgarter-socks/5200060
Also available is this shirt. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/7madRavens-Im-Fine-Tee/5200004
Last, but not least, is the Guyronic shirt with a texture changing HUD that gives you a seven in one shirt. That means you can wear a different design for each day of the week and never take off your shirt. It's the lazy man's shirt. We all have those weeks, some of us more than others.

Now you have to listen to a song. Because I said so. And you'll like it.

Picture time!
We're redecorating our land for autumn (earlier than expected, but we got impatient and are so ready for summer to be over) so I rounded up the fam for some pics while we still had everything looking nice in the backyard.
Nick being a brat. :D
Jamie and Nick looking terribly sweet. Goes to show how looks can be deceiving.
Yes. Yes, I did dunk him into the water. Several times.
I lost a few pounds. I mean years. A lot of years, actually. Went from being a dad to a brother. It happens.
Nick and I are so gangsta.
