I got a hankering to mess around with my female avi on SL, this a.m.. It's been so long since I've had her out and she could definitely use some serious updating. I didn't bother changing out of my male clothes and I only fiddled around with her face a bit. Not that you can see it here, but it doesn't matter. I ended up loving this shot so much that I edited it rather than any of the others that I took. Now I'm kind of seeing a running theme in the future. . .

And randomly, I came across this cover, today and it's just too damn good not to share.

Winter home sweet winter home

Of all the years we've spent on Second Life, this is our first winter home. Odd, considering just how much we love winter and the holidays. Esp. when you have a good friend bring you Patrón Añejo for an early Christmas present. I do love my friends. *wipes what could possibly pass for a tear, if you squint hard enough*
Anyway. Some pics of the new place all set up. It's possible that we might open the sim up to the public soon, since we've had a lot of interest in folks wanting to see it, so I'll keep everyone posted, when we do that.

Let it snow, let it snow

Creating for the stores is on hold for the moment, while we set up our winter home. Here are a couple work in progress pics. I'm all excited about how it's turning out. We're going to be doing a few custom things for the place. Jamie's having trouble finding the kitchen he wants, so he'll be making that and then we're going to do a Christmas tree lot. I'm really looking forward to seeing the sim all finished; it's definitely feeling like Christmas now.

Gacha Goodies

Though it's a Mud Pie release, I thought I'd blog about it here, as well, since it's an item that adults can wear, too. A new, original mesh that's fun for the holidays, it's Chuck's Christmas Head Bobs w/Tree. There are eight common ornaments that dangle at the end of the pitifully bent tree that sits on top of your avatar's head and two rares. Also included in the gacha is another rare prize, a tabletop version of Chuck's tree, with all ten ornaments hanging from or scattered about.
